Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 13

Huh!? Japan, you suck! What is wrong with anime these days? They always start something, but they never really finish. I feel as though I just watched another regular episode. In fact, I had to check to make sure that this was actually the final one. I am truly disappointed. The only thing that can make up for this is a second season.

I don’t get it. Why did they have Haru, the male lead, look for a firefly during the very last episode? It doesn’t make any sense. He spent very little time with Shizuku. They didn’t even kiss, kiss or talk about their future together. It all revolved around Haru’s quest to capture a firefly and about the other characters trying to find him. Why would anyone want to watch a bad game of hide and seek during the final episode of an otherwise great anime? That would be like changing a hard-core horror show into a slapstick comedy at the very end. Nobody does that…

I already saw it coming, and that’s actually the worst thing; being right about something you don’t want to be right about. It gives me this aggravating sense of satisfaction for being right and this soul-crushing feeling of disappointment at the same time. It’s like knowing when you’re going to die. Nobody wants that.

The fact that there’s no news about a possible second season is the worst. The ratings are very average in Japan, so I don’t know how well it’s going to sell, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. This just doesn’t feel like an ending at all. Most of these shows all have crappy endings nowadays. What’s up with that? So much for a merry Christmas…
